Brightstar Lottery has secured a contract extension with the Washington Lottery, valid until June 2036. The agreement includes the deployment of thousands of new vending machines and terminals across the state.
Retail outlets will receive a hardware update under the new terms. The distribution plan includes 2,200 GameTouch28 units, 100 GameTouch20 models, and 3,700 Retailer Pro S2 terminals equipped with ticket checkers and digital displays. Additionally, the central gaming system will be updated with the newest commercially available technology.
Partnership and Regional Expansion
Brian Bennett, director of the Washington Lottery, highlighted the three-decade collaboration. He noted that the partnership has facilitated the introduction of self-service and cashless solutions for players. Scott Gunn, chief operating officer for North America Lottery at Brightstar, added that the new equipment aims to support the lottery's growth and funding for educational causes.
The Washington Lottery has maintained its relationship with Brightstar since 1996. This agreement follows a similar contract renewal with the Oregon Lottery, which was finalized in June.
